Junior Curling
CFB Halifax Curling Club is currently taking applications for the Junior Curling Program(s) for the 2024-25 season and is open to junior curlers under 21 years of age.
Note: Juniors can request to curl in a league other than specified by their age or may be able to play in two leagues. For example, a Light Rocker, 10-11yrs, considered to be skilled and physically developed enough, may want to play in either Light Rocks or Recreational, or both. Please note any special requests such as this in "comments" on the registration form. The following leagues are available:
Light Rocks: Ages 7 - 11 Cost $110.00
Draw time Sat, 09:00-10:30 (draw time subject to change depending on registration numbers). Please note: CSA approved helmets are mandatory for this league.
A fun introductory program with our great volunteer instructors. Instructional programs guided by Curl Canada and Nova Scotia Curling Association. Practice, drills, contests and game scenarios. No previous curling experience required for this program.
All equipment is provided, we just ask curlers come with a helmet, warm flexible clothing a pair of sneakers to change into once at the Club.
Junior Recreational: Under 21 Cost $140.00
The Junior Recreational group (U21) is scheduled from 10:30 - 12:00. New curlers will be grouped together at the start for an introductory program. The experienced and returning curlers will be placed into teams. The program will have a league format (games with scoring) and instructional component to develop confident curlers in a fun atmosphere.
1200 - 1300 practice time available most Saturdays.
All equipment is provided, we just ask curlers come with a helmet, warm flexible clothing a pair of sneakers to change into once at the Club.
** There is a discount of $10 on all fee classifications for Cadets or children of Military Personnel
